Additional Benefits of Membership
Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance1 - Each Palmetto Citizens member age 18 and up is eligible to receive a free $1000 basic AD&D insurance policy. This coverage is fully paid for by Palmetto Citizens and offers 24-hour protection against a covered accident anywhere in the world, on or off the job, on business, on vacation or at home. Ask a Member Service Representative for your application or more information. Additional coverage options are available.
Cashier's Checks, Money Orders, Travelers Cheques and Wire Transfers - Available at each Palmetto Citizens office. Certain fees may apply.
Coin Counters - Self-service coin counting machines are available at each of our stand alone offices. This service is free to members - business account holders and non-members will be changed a 5% service fee.
The machines automatically count the coins and provide a receipt for the funds. You may then take your receipt to a Member Service Representative for a reimbursement or to deposit the funds into your account.
Direct Deposit / Payroll Deduction - This service allows the convenience of automatic deposit of a member's paycheck or an automatic deduction from a member's account for payment of a loan.
Notary Service - All Palmetto Citizens members have free access to the notary public in each of our offices.
Safe Deposit Boxes - Palmetto Citizens provides members with access to safe deposit boxes to safeguard their important documents and valuables. Boxes are available to rent annually in the following sizes: 3x5, 3x10, 5x10 and 10x10. Please contact us about location availability.
Savings Bonds - Savings Bonds are interest bearing certificates of debt issued by the US Treasury. These bonds are available with a number of investment options. Palmetto Citizens can assist you with purchasing and cashing bonds.
Senior Program – Very Important Palmetto Seniors – To be eligible you must be at least 55 years old and either have an active checking account with Palmetto Citizens OR direct deposit, payroll deduction or another recurring deposit through the Automated Clearing House (i.e. Social Security, retirement) into one of your Palmetto Citizens accounts.

Palmetto Citizens Visa® Gift Cards give recipients the ultimate flexibility to choose what they really want and can be used at any merchant retail location4 accepting Visa around the world. Cards are available in any whole dollar amount between $25 and $500.5
Discounted Entertainment Tickets - Members can purchase discounted tickets to AMC Dutch Square Theatre, Carowinds (Charlotte) and Six Flags (Atlanta) at any of our service center locations.
